Our Director Heidi wants to make a difference.

She is committed to making change, and her realness helps her relate with people. Her pragmatic approach engages people quickly in the learning environment, as she believes that building emotional intelligence can lead us on our journey of self-awareness and fulfilment.

As a trusted learning professional with 15 years of experience, Heidi has many career highlights.  These include:

  • Designing and developing a sales leadership programme for a global audience delivering significant returns on investments.
  • Consulting to David Forman for nine years as a senior facilitator and instructional designer, building and delivering learning programmes with some of New Zealand’s leading companies
  • Increasing employee engagement in businesses by helping leaders build the skills and behaviours to have genuinely effective leadership conversation

Specialising in construction, banking, telco and retail, Heidi is a highly experienced learning and development strategist, an engaging facilitator and instructional designer of industry-leading learning tools.

Heidi is an accredited facilitator of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Everything DiSC and is GENOS EI accredited through OPRA Psychology Group.

Joan Mather


Joan is a forward-thinking, results-oriented and passionate organisational development professional. She has had critical roles in global organisations, including:

– Group Talent Manager, Fletcher Building.
– OD Manager, Coca-Cola Amatil NZ.
– Principal, OD with Sheffield.
As director, Joan works with clients to create exceptional value through developing inspiring future leaders, high-performing teams and collaborative, engaged and inclusive cultures. She draws on her extensive experience, professional network and client feedback to ensure her work continues to make a real difference!



Torin is the Digital and Media Developer at Real Learning. He does all filming and creates most of the online materials full of information and insights. He has a keen eye for design and enjoys bringing stories to life.



As Project Manager, Charlee is responsible for the planning and execution of all Real Learning programmes.
She coordinates with the people and processes to ensure that the projects are delivered on time and produced to the desired result.
She is the go-to person for everything involving the project’s organisation and timeline. Charlee also takes care of the day to day administration and provides client support.
